FS#1739 - Wrong keyboard layout in sddm

Keyboard layout in sddm (0.13.0-5) is always 'us' no matter the config in Plasma or in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-keyboard.conf as it is mentioned in Arch wiki:

That's a problem when you have special characters in your password because you have to know where that character is in the 'us' layout.

Also, with some themes you can see the flag associated with the layout but in both Breeze and Heritage it's hidden, so there's no clue and some users could think that they forgot their password.

I didn't notice till recently because I have always used autologin feature.

How to solve this issue:

Adding 'setxkbmap es' (in my case) in /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup file as metioned here:

This task does not depend on any other tasks.

I have this problem too, I noticed it recently. I had configured everything to be in fr-bepo keymap, but like you I use autologin so it worked a month ago, but I do not know when it broke.

Is this still valid in Goedel?
